A stroll through the belly of Italy – as Bologna is also called – can neither be disturbed by rain or (too much) shine. As the city exploded due to the masses of students who came here during the years, the Bolognians started to build arcardes. Now there are miles and miles of covered footpaths along the city.
Live life the Italian way! And don’t forget to get your aperitivo at about 5 pm! (Sometimes you even get pasta with it!)
It’s better than good. A visit to Bologna’s heart & soul, the market, is simply amazing! Just buy a bit of everything and later go to Bologna’s oldest Osteria (del Sole) to have an extraordinary pique-nique accompanied by some delicious wine.
